Since forming PIT! has opened for the likes of Tanika Charles, performed two highly talked-
about sets at last year’s Folk on the Rocks, and played a sundry of other sold-out local shows.
With a sound that spans genres and decades, they have captured the Northern hearts of young
and old alike.
This spring, PIT! released their first EP titled Modern Mating Calls. The concept EP is an exploration of modern love and relationships. The album dares to asks the question, “What might the world look like if everyone is free to love the way they want, and consent culture is solely celebrated?” Drawing on classic sounds from R&B and soul music, Modern Mating Calls uses humour and dance-floor-ready tunes to talk about subjects such as consent and masculinity. PIT!’s Modern Mating Calls is a record which aims to make people both groove and think. The EP tagline enquires, “The future of love is calling... Will you pick up?”
