About the Role
Folk On The Rocks is hiring a Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing Manager in the lead-up to and execution of the 46th Annual Folk On The Rocks Music Festival. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in arts marketing, media relations, and festival communications.
Key Responsibilities
Support public relations, advertising, and promotional launches and purchases;
Assist with day-to-day management of all social media accounts;
Help administer content updates;
Coordinate with official event photographers before and during the festival;
Assist in the planning and ordering of all festival signage;
Work from and contribute to the established marketing plan;
Monitor and report on content performance and analytics;
Implement sponsor visibility and promotional obligations based on contracts;
Support the Marketing and Content Manager on-site during the festival by creating live content, assisting with media coordination, and providing general support as needed;
Assist with post-festival communications, including thank-you messages and printed materials;
Help manage and track media coverage during and after the event; and
Prepare and distribute media kits/packages to press and partners.
Qualifications
Strong skills in social media, creative writing, and communication;
Highly organized, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
Experience or interest in marketing, design, or public relations is a strong asset; and
Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, or scheduling platforms is an advantage.

About the Role
Folk On The Rocks is seeking a creative, organized Content Manager to lead the creation of engaging visual and written content across our digital platforms. This role is focused on storytelling and capturing the spirit of FOTR through photo, video, and written content while supporting social media management and website updates. This is a contract position supporting the lead-up to and delivery of the 2026 festival and reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a content-focused work plan aligned with the Marketing Plan and social media strategy;
Create high-quality photo, video, and written content for FOTR’s social media platforms and website;
Capture original content throughout the season, including events, artists, and behind-the-scenes moments;
Use existing photography and video assets to develop engaging content;
Develop creative concepts and campaigns that reflect FOTR’s brand and community;
Support the management of FOTR’s social media accounts, including scheduling posts, publishing content, and engaging with audiences;
Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and consistency;
Support paid advertising campaigns to amplify content reach;
Support sponsor recognition requirements are met across digital platforms; and
Assist with post-festival storytelling, acknowledgments, and recap content.
Qualifications
Proven experience in content creation, including photo, video, and digital storytelling;
Strong creative, writing, communication, and organizational skills;
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Familiarity with content management systems, social media tools, and digital advertising platforms; and
Experience in event-based marketing, photography coordination, or creative direction is an asset.

About the Role
Folk On The Rocks is hiring a Volunteer Manager to oversee the recruitment, coordination, and management of the 450+ volunteers who make the festival possible. This is a key role ideal for someone who is highly organized, community-minded, and passionate about creating a positive and rewarding volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Create a work plan with recruitment strategies, volunteer targets per team, and budget requirements;
Recruit, assign, and manage volunteers across all festival areas;
Manage communications using the official FOTR volunteer database and website;
Recruit, organize, and train Team Coordinators;
Support Team Coordinators with scheduling and ongoing needs;
Procure supplies for each volunteer area;
Organize and update volunteer team manuals, creating new materials as needed;
Ensure all volunteer training is completed prior to the festival;
Provide team captains and volunteers with the necessary festival information;
Oversee Volunteer Support operations;
Organize and supervise Volunteer Headquarters onsite;
Allocate volunteers as needed to support contracted staff;
Connect contracted staff with appropriate Team Coordinators;
Coordinate the volunteer appreciation event; and
Be on-site for the full duration of the festival.
Qualifications
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;
Ability to manage large groups of people in a fast-paced environment;
A patient, solution-oriented, and community-focused approach;
Experience with large-scale events or volunteer coordination is considered an asset; and
Connections to community groups or volunteer networks are an advantage.
