Meridian

Meridian is a band consisting of members from two musical groups from Hay River and Yellowknife, NWT. These young artists met while competing in the 2024 Folk On The Rocks Main Stage Showdown as The Smith Sisters, Rochelle and Corrine Smith, and Refrijerater, Duncan Stewart and Joe Curran. They each focused on completely different genres while still experiencing a deep appreciation for the other's sound. Combined, their music is a fusion of folk, rock, country and pop influences as their collaboration highlights their individual styles and strengths. Folk On The Rocks 2025 will be Meridians debut as they continue to explore their sound as a collective.
