Caylie G (they/she) is a queer Pop-Roots artist based in Edmonton, Alberta, on Treaty Six Territory. With roots firmly planted in their country and folk upbringings Caylie has cultivated an ethereal pop sound that breathes life into their emotive storytelling. Their music explores the valleys and swells of love, heartbreak, and the complexities of being human, with a tender balance of vulnerability and strength. Caylie’s lyrics resonate with folks from all walks of life, capturing the every essence of the human experience, and offering listeners a space where they feel comforted and heard.
In their debut year, Caylie released two EPs: The Trials and Tribulations of a
Twenty-Two-Year-Old Teenager and Softhearted Cowboy and toured through Western Canada. Notably, performing at Winnipeg Folk Fest as part of the Young Performers Program and Banff Pride. In October of 2024 Caylie opened for Priyanka, winner of Canada’s Drag Race, on the Edmonton stop of the Devestatia world tour. With their combination of glittering theatrics and good ol’-four-chord-storytelling, Caylie is a voice for those with soft hearts and big feelings trying to navigate the world around them.
