My name is Narlie Cadigoy Dapilos, and I was born and raised in Yellowknife, NT. As an artist I go by the name of “Narlz B”, which originated from a nickname I had growing up, “Gnarls Barkley”. To me, Narlz B represents the point in my life when I realized that I could “Be” anything and do anything I wanted, but most importantly I could “Be” my authentic self. Music had always been an outlet for me and a way for me to escape whatever I was going through but also to express myself. I’ve always had a passion for creative writing, poetry, and lyric making. As an artist, I like having the freedom to create something that reflects how I’m feeling or represents who I am and to share that with other people. Outside of music I have a passion for basketball and collecting trading cards.
