At the time of writing (March 12, 2020) Folk On The Rocks is scheduled to host our annual event, as planned from July 17-19, 2020.
Our staff and board members are carefully monitoring the situation related to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in Canada and the Northwest Territories. At this time, the risk to Northwest Territories residents is low, and our summer 2020 timeline means that a lot may happen between now and then.
However, the health and safety of our patrons is a top priority, and we have taken steps to develop and implement a strategic plan for the 2020 festival, that further considers a course of action should the risk levels rise in our community.
Until then, we are dedicated to keeping our community and patrons informed and up to date on festival activities, and advise that everyone take the following Health Canada recommended courses of action:
- wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- sneeze and cough into your sleeve
- avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
- avoid contact with people who are sick
- stay home if you are sick
