Folk on the Rocks is known as a culturally diverse music festival with it's 50/50 Northern and Southern programming mandate. Folk on the Rocks wants to take cultural diversity a step further this year and explore and celebrate Canada's rich culture. This year's theme is GLOBAL FUSION: an exploration of what multi-cultural means in Canada today. Ethnic Canadians have been proudly representing their individual culture through the arts; culinary, fashion, visual and performing arts. Today, we are seeing a trend towards fusion; boldly extracting elements from other cultures and musical genres - cultures that make up what Canada is today - to create new sounds, new visions and new ideas.
